About Parmalee

From this tiny town that’s home to a gas station, two blinking yellow lights, and a small tin- roofed barn dubbed Studio B, country rockers Parmalee launched their long journey to Nashville. The near-fatal robbery Parmalee experienced after a show would have destroyed most bands. But brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox and longtime friend Josh McSwain didn’t call it quits. Instead it reinforced their intense motivation and dedication to one another and to their determination to succeed.

Each obstacle that delayed Parmalee’s arrival to Nashville was an extra mile that allowed the groundbreaking sounds of artists like Jason Aldean and Eric Church to pave the way for the worlds of country radio and Parmalee’s brand of country music to meet at the perfect crossroad.

Parmalee’s country rock sound has its roots in the bluegrass, traditional country, southern rock and blues covers the guys grew up hearing their families play.

Matt and Scott Thomas grew up near Greenville, NC watching their father Jerry front a popular local southern rock blues band. The boys watched and learned, picking up their own instruments and jamming along with their dad’s band. From this they learned how to integrate their own style into the songs they were playing. Barry Knox, who played drums for the church choir, loved what his cousins were doing and soon joined them.

All that practice paid off one night when Matt and Scott, then teenagers, snuck into a club to watch their father perform. “The guitar player got too drunk before the gig and didn’t show,”...

RUSSELL DICKERSON

Sincere, energetic and always smiling: All words that have been used to describe emerging country music star, Russell Dickerson, by his fans and peers alike. His infectious personality radiates in everything he does, whether he’s writing a song, singing in the studio or meeting fans. He’s constantly making people laugh and everyone he meets is quick to become part of the “RD Fam.Lately there’s been plenty to smile about. The Nashville native has had an incredible reaction to his current single, “Yours.” The power ballad was selected for Sirius XM’s The Highway Find program, which showcases new, and often times unsigned, artists to country music fans across the country. In the blink of an eye, Dickerson found himself competing with artists such as Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan on the satellite station’s weekly Hot 45 countdown, successfully reaching #3.

Soon after, Dickerson released his EP, “Yours,” which debuted at #2 in the iTunes country store and #8 in all genres. The album also premiered at #1 on Billboard’s Heat Seeker chart and #14 on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart. The album features five songs co-written by Dickerson, including a stripped down wedding version of the title track “Yours.” Boosted by the power of his hit single, he landed on the iTunes Best of 2015 year-end list, TheKnot.com’s Best Wedding Songs of 2016, and Spotify’s #SpotifySpotlight 2016.” He asserts, “I just love life. Every day is a great day!”

SETH ENNIS

Seth Ennis may have been raised a proud Georgia boy, but the young singer-songwriter is as worldly as the most seasoned traveler — and it shows in his eclectic brand of country music, a sound inspired by his hero Vince Gill, the pop-punk bands he followed each year on the Vans Warped Tour and smooth R&B stars like Usher.

Despite being just 23 years old, the multi-instrumentalist (he’s a natural-born drummer) has experienced a lot of life. Seth spent his formative years on a military base in Japan, cut his teeth as a touring musician while living in Raleigh and commuting to Nashville, and has now put down roots in Music City, where through perseverance and a dedication to his crafFor his debut single “Woke Up in Nashville,” Seth wrote with tunesmiths David Hodges and Blair Daly, creating an autobiographical account of his journey to Music City to pursue his dream as a singer-songwriter.

Fittingly, the song begins with Seth loading up his father’s truck and driving north from Georgia. In the studio, Seth played every instrument on “Woke Up in Nashville,” from guitars and bass to drums and piano. He even sang his own background vocals.

Being self-sufficient in the writing room and in the booth is important to the young singer, but he’s excited to collaborate in the encouraging country community.  Seth is adamant about maintaining his own sense of identity. While he may unabashedly profess a love for pop melody and rock & roll energy, he’s a country disciple.t he landed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville.

TRENT HARMON

Trent Harmon holds the reigning title as American Idol. The Season XV victor originally hails from East Mississippi and immersed himself in music from an early age. From singing “Amazing Grace” with his family to starring in various musicals in college, Trent credits life on his family’s farm as a major influence on his music career. Less than one week after taking the title during the final season of American Idol, Trent entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, earning him a “hot shot debut” with coronation song “Falling," which was written by Idol judge Keith Urban along with celebrated songwriters Dallas Davidson and Brett James. Already in the studio, the 25-year-old musician is eager to begin recording his self-described “Country-soul” album and recently released his debut single “There’s A Girl” on FOX & Friends’ Summer Concert Series. Critics raved week-after-week following each of Trent’s “vocally gifted” (LA Times) performances as he covered hits by Justin Timberlake, Sia, Parson James, Percy Sledge and more.
