Old Dominion Announces New Single, Tour, Video

Old Dominion, new everything else.

The ACM Vocal Group of the Year is finding a road they’ve never seen with the release of their brand-new single “Make It Sweet,” their first new single since they dropped their sophomore album Happy Endings in 2017.

The turn-lemons-into-lemonade track was born organically after the OD boys entered the recording studio with one goal in mind. “We walked into the studio one day without discussing what we wanted the next step for our band to be,” they posted of the song on social media. “The plan was to write a song and record it on that same day. What happened was something we could never have planned. The words fell out and the next thing we knew, we had recorded ‘Make It Sweet.’ It’s raw and natural and 100% us. We are so proud and grateful to have the opportunity to share such a meaningful moment with the world.”

In conjunction with the single release, the band has also announced a new headlining tour for 2019. Old Dominion’s Make It Sweet Tour launches January 18 in Chicago and runs through 2019 with Jordan Davis, Morgan Evans and Mitchell Tenpenny as special guests on the first leg.

Tickets for select dates go on sale Friday (10/12). The official “Make It Sweet” music video, shot against a picturesque landscape in Malibu, California, and directed by Shaun Silva, is also available now.
