Lainey Wilson and fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges announced their engagement just before Valentine's Day.
The Whirlwind artist and former NFL star began dating in 2021. On February 12, 2025, the couple announced that Hodges had popped the question. Wilson captioned the engagement photos, “4x4xU forever ❤️,” nodding to her romantic single. The singer-songwriter said in a previous interview with PEOPLE after making her relationship public (and while working on her latest album, Whirlwind), “I'm writing me some love songs now. I’m grateful for him.”
Later in the year, other country stars announce engagements, too. That includes beloved country legend Reba McEntire, who confirmed her engagement to actor Rex Linn on the red carpet at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2025. She shared in an interview shortly afterward that Linn actually popped the question on Christmas Eve in 2024. McEntire and Linn stated dating in early 2020, and recently celebrated six years together. McEntire said during an appearance on TODAY that “a Reba-Rex wedding is going to be very different. It’s gonna be low key, lots of fun, lots of people, lots of food. Our big motto is ‘have fun.’”
When Kane Brown first teamed up with his wife, Katelyn Brown, to release a romantic duet, the song became what Katelyn will always remember as “the most special experience with the love of my life.” “Thank God,” which could be the first of many collaborations between Kane and Katelyn, is one of many heartfelt songs that country artists have written as tributes to their loved ones. Other husband-and-wife duos known for their sentimental collaborations include Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Other artists have written and released sentimental songs for their spouses that quickly became beloved hits among fans, including Thomas Rhett (“Die A Happy Man”), Luke Combs (“Forever After All”), Gabby Barrett (“The Good Ones”), Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani (“We Can Reach The Stars”) and many more.
Country music is packed with power couples. Whether they tied the knot back in the 90s (like McGraw and Hill), or got hitched in recent years (like Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick, or Parker McCollum and Hallie Ray Light McCollum, or Lauren Alaina and Cam Arnold), there are tons of artists whose marriages will warm your heart.
