Chris & Rich Of The Black Crowes Say They Never Argued During Songwriting

The Black Crowes last show was nearly six years ago with an official breakup announcement that followed 13 months later. But now, Chris and Rich Robinson reunited in the past few months for a 46-date reunion tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker kicking off June 17th in Austin, Texas.

Chris and Rich stopped by The Bobby Bones Show and shared that 30 years later, they're both finally ready to play the songs on tour everyone wants to hear. They spent years touring and making albums and during their time apart, they were both offered to do a reunion tour every year since the split.

Until now, they weren't ready to come back together. Rich shared that he would write songs for Chris and felt like something was missing by not working with him to do those songs. But, before anything they wanted to be brothers again first. Chris continued by sharing that he felt he needed to go off on his own for awhile to find his place again in music. The ironic thing - they both noted - is that they always got along when they were just writing songs. The two of them never fought during those moments, but during the touring and album cuts, they had a lot of disagreements.

About to head out on their reunion tour, they're excited to revisit the band and the music at a new time in their lives. They said fans can expect The Black Crowes from back in the day down to the melodies and vibes.
