According to a new study by Jacamo as reported on the Daily Mail, there are quite a few ways to ruin a wedding. Turns out there's more to attending a wedding than just tossing on a pretty dress and enjoying a couple glasses of wine.
Seven out of the TWENTY common wedding no-no's are related to the outfits the guests choose to wear. I didn't realize wearing all black was a bad thing? It's the majority of my wardrobe. Guess I better start shopping for colorful dresses!
Here are the 20 worst things a wedding guest can do:
- An inappropriate best man's speech
- Leaving before the speeches are finished
- Wearing a really revealing outfit
- Wearing all black or all white
- Messing with the bride's seating plan
- Taking flash photography at the ceremony
- Wearing a dress which looks just like the bridesmaids
- Wearing a huge hat
- Wearing sunglasses in church
- Getting drunk and causing a scene
- Forgetting to turn off the volume of your cell phone during the ceremony or speeches
- Showing up in jeans
- Being TOO aggressive when it's time to catch the bride's bouquet
- Mistakenly wearing black tie and dinner jacket
- Arguing with your significant other
- Aggressive dad dancing (lol... it's not funny, but kinda funny)
- Photo bombing the professional photos
- Posting all over social media when you've been asked not to
- Forgetting the names of the bride and grooms parents
- Chatting up the bride or flirting with the groom
