Netflix is thinking about charging you more to sign up in prime binge-watching hours. WHAT. It's currently testing this heartbreaking strategy in Australia. During the test, these were the prices:
Basic service - $8.99 increased to $9.99
Standard service - $11.99 to $13.99
Premium service - $17.99 a month as opposed to the usual $14.99
Netflix told Mashable in an emailed statement, "We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time. In this case, we are testing slightly different price points to better understand how consumers value Netflix." They also mentioned "Not everyone will see this test and we may not ever offer it generally."
I do all of my Netflix-binging on the weekends! *FINGERS CROSSED* they don't offer it...
