There's a new gym in New York City that opened earlier this month and the whole idea is that it’s cold in the classes and workout areas. It's called Brrrn. It's also not just air conditioned cold … it's like wintertime cold. The chilly temps aren't just for your comfort either. Research has shown that the body burns more calories when you exercise in the cold. Not only that, but when you are working out and not getting overheated you can work out harder and longer. That means you burn a whole lot more calories.
Would you ever try a gym like this? I think I would!
