WHAT A WEEKEND!
It kicked off with the Am Fam Charity Concert at Breese Stevens Field with A Thousand Horses, Sara Evans and REO Speedwagon. I had never seen Sara Evans before so that was a first AND freaking SHAQ was DJing in between sets.
Then on Saturday we had a magical night out on Lake Monona for Festival Foods Shake the Lake. This is one of my favorite of events that we have of the year.
Smithfield took the stage first, followed by Devin Dawson, Michael Ray and LOCASH. We had such a great crew this year to celebrate the red, white and blue. I loved how Devin Dawson hopped on stage with Michael Ray for a cover of David Lee Murphy's "Dust on the Bottle." Then--another magical moment happened. We helped our listener Kip pull off a proposal on-stage during LOCASH right before they sang "Ring on Every Finger."
We had some fun with the artists backstage--I played 'Speak Out' with Michael Ray and shared an awkward moment with him. I'll post those videos soon!
