I have to say... this is a very weird trend to me.
Some families are hiring coaches to help them raise phone-free children. Parents are trying to turn back time before smartphones. Do you think it's strange??
This new job that's in demand is called a "screen consultant." They are going into homes, schools, churches and synagogues to remind parents how people parents before according to the NY Times. Gloria DeGaetano launced the Parent Coaching Institute, a network of 500 coaches and a training program. In small cities and rural areas, her coaches charge about $80 an hour. In larger cities, rates range from $125 to $250 and parents usually sign up for eight to twelve sessions.
Is this something you'd consider for your family?
