Dr. Jess Andrade has recently gone viral on TikTok after sharing her simple hack that could help anyone who is struggling to fall asleep... socks.
So wearing socks makes your feet warm and this opens up the blood vessels that cool the body down. The body being cool tells the brain that it's time for bed, so actually people that wear socks tend to fall asleep better.
This clip has more than 19-million views, but not everyone is a fan of the idea. Myself included! Some commenters are saying that wearing socks to sleep is "uncomfortable" and one even jokes that Dr. Jess "forgot to mention that people who wear socks to bed tend to be serial killers."
I've gone to bed with socks on because my feet are cold... but end up taking them off before falling sleep. I think I'll just stick with using a little melatonin before bed..
