Governor Evers announced this morning that more than $322 million in funding will be available for renters who have not been able to keep up with home costs as a result of the pandemic. Those eligible for the financial assistance can use the money for rent, home energy costs, and wraparound services.
Those who qualify for fund through the Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance Program, administered by the Department of Administration demonstrate the risk of experiencing housing instability, have seen their income reduced because of the pandemic and/or earn a household income at or below 80% of the county median income.
