Furry Fridays w/ Chelsey + Ben 12/2/22

This week for Furry Friday powered by Legacy Exteriors I'd like to introduce you to Ben from Brown Paws Rescue. Help this fella find a special fur-ever home!

BEN

Ben oh Ben why does life keeping giving you such bad luck? First from living in a shelter so long you became shelter shocked and shadows were the only things you had to keep you entertained, you were starved a dog that should of been 60+ lbs came to me at 28lbs, you were so emaciated. You sat in foster for a long time because no one wanted a pitty with issues.

Back to foster again for awhile then came along another man who loved you the same for the last few years. You have been through so much and now its time to find you a home again, as their is a new baby on the way and you are a little jealous of the new dynamics with a new step Mom and 4 yr old step sister you have to share attention with.

You still have a few quirks and one is that you like to nip strangers if you aren't comfortable with them and you feel you need to protect your family. Even though you have not hurt your new family members they feel you can't be completely trusted with a 4yr old and a baby on the way. You spend a lot of time in your kennel which you don't mind. You are almost 9 yrs old now and I don't know if there is another person out there with some strong dog experience to take you in.

Ben is well responsive to commands and knows place, bed/kennel, down, double-down (where he will put his head down on the floor), and free.

(Profile from 2019) Ben is a loving, but protective lab/pitty mix. He was adopted and unfortunately his daddy passed away way too young. Ben was his daddys life! He absolutely loves car rides, hikes, swimming and playing ball! Ben doesnt like yappy little dogs or little kids who dont respect his doggy boundaries. He also likes to chase kittys, so would be best without cats. He currently is living in an apartment and is a decent apartment dog unless someome comes to the door when unexpected. He needs to find his person! My friend Luna sponsored my adoption fee and someone that we'll call secret santa donated $150 reimbursement for training! Isn't that great!
