This week for Furry Friday, I'd like to introduce you to Spritz Cookie! He's being fostered in Madison through Brown Paws Rescue. Check out some pics below and apply!

Check out this amazing, spunky boy! He is a typical, busy body puppy that loves to snuggle up with his canine friends or humans at the end of a long day of playing.
✅ 16 week old, male, heeler mix
✅ Up to date on shots, not yet neutered
✅ Knows sit, down, wait and is picking up other obedience training very quickly.
✅ Active pup that loves to be outside.
✅ Suuuuuuper food motivated
✅ Doing well on leash, but barks when he sees other dogs. We have been working on this and it is getting better but will need continued training around this.
✅ Playful with other dogs but barks alot at them at first. Still learning how to interact with other dogs but really loves them. He loves our two dogs and other dogs he has met at our house but needs time to get comfortable with them. Does best with dogs that just ignore his antics.
✅ A little shy with new people but warms up quickly. Has met a few kids and has done fine but will need supervision due to mouthiness and herding behaviors.
✅ Super playful, loves toys
✅ Doing much better with potty training as long as he is closely supervised
❌ Still working on crate training. Settles in quickly at night and sleeps through the night. Will get chit chatty if he is crated and we leave him (vs sleeping in the same room with him).
❌ Vocal guy, best in a home without shared walls
❌ Chases kitties but is getting less pouncy
❌ A little undersocialized so can be nervous in new situations but figures them out quickly!
Heelers are a working breed. They typically need lots of physical exercise and mental stimulation. They make great activity partners and are typically very smart dogs that pick up training quickly.
This sweet pup is ready to find his loving and patient family. He is a super smart guy that just needs some guidance on how to navigate the big world around him.
