The woman adopted their mom from a breeder that was retiring her. She ended up pregnant having 7 puppies. Vet diagnosed two puppies officially with megaesphagus Maverick and one other puppy, but thinks whole litter might suffer from it which is pretty rare but they all have symptoms. Brown Paws and Key to Happiness offered to take remaining 5.

They both are severely underweight and have issues chowing down and then burping and regurgitating after eating. We have taken the recommendations of megaesphagus, feeding puppies upright and holding them upright for 20 minutes which has helped immensely. We are focusing on getting them to healthy weight and diagnosis before going up for adoption next week! As you can imagine having to buy them soft food and medical expenses adds up Their appointments Monday alone will be $300+ per pup. Which may end up more if they need surgery or medications.
