On paper, Wisconsin has a significant advantage in terms of yardage, scoring, and efficiency across the board on both offense and defense, but Wisconsin-Northwestern should be as physical as ever this Saturday.
Last year, turnovers doomed Wisconsin in a 31-17 defeat. The Badgers have lost three of the past five in the series, and all five games were decided by only one or two possessions. All-time, Wisconsin leads the series 56-35-6, but since 1985, the series is tied at 14 games apiece.
Saturday should be another competitive marker in the history between the teams.
