Badgers Move Up To 15th In Latest College Football Playoff Rankings

In the third week of the College Football Playoff Top 25 Rankings this season, the Wisconsin Badgers continue to make a steady climb up the rankings.

In the initial ranking, the Badgers were 21st, then climbed to 18th last week, and after the beatdown of Northwestern on Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers are now 15th in this week's CFP ranking.

It's a remarkable spot for a Badgers team that began the year 1-3 and looking underwhelming in nearly every game. Since then, Wisconsin has rattled off six straight victories behind a continually stout defense and an improving offense.

With some quality victories against Purdue and Iowa, Wisconsin is in position to win the Big Ten West if they're able to win their final two games of the regular season against Nebraska and Minnesota.

While Wisconsin is not likely to push their way into the top 4 and a spot in the College Football Playoff given their three losses on the season, their steady climb is a reflection of the improvements this team has made and will put them in a position to play in a much more prestigious bowl game in the postseason.

Other Big Ten teams in the CFP Top 25 include Ohio State (4), Michigan (6), Michigan State (7), and Iowa (17).
