Single Woman Splurges For “Marry Me” Billboards To Meet Mate!

While some singles are content with trying their luck on dating apps, one California woman is taking matters into her own hands. Lisa Catalano is tired of waiting to meet a man, so she’s trying an unconventional approach to finding one, by renting a dozen digital billboards along Highway 101 in the San Francisco area. Each one advertises exactly what she’s looking for - a husband.

The billboards drive traffic to the 42-year-old’s personal dating website, “MarryLisa.com,” where eligible bachelors can apply to be the lucky guy. She says she decided to try the tactic this month after several failed relationships and frustrating dead-end dating app experiences. “I’m putting myself out there,” Catalano shares. “People would be shocked if they knew how much this is costing me.”

She’s also buying ad space on taxis to expand her search in the area, insisting she just wants to find a husband. “This is not a joke. It’s not a gimmick,” she single lady says. “This is a serious, self-funded endeavor.” So, what is she looking for in an ideal partner? A man who’s between 35 and 45, who she says “aligns with me on religious and political belief, as well as leading a health-oriented lifestyle,” and it wouldn’t hurt if he looks like actor David Duchovny. Catalano’s non-negotiables include that he “must be on board with a monogamous relationship,” have no criminal record and a “non-violent personality.”
